ICC 10 progression (group 2) Empty
PostSubject: ICC 10 progression (group 2)   ICC 10 progression (group 2) I_icon_minitimeTue May 18, 2010 9:24 pm

This is intended to provide general raid information for the ICC 10 progression (group 2). It will be updated regularly as we learn and make adjustments. Please come back on a regular basis to ensure you have the latest rules and information.
In this group, the goal is to enhance your enjoyment of WoW by providing regular opportunities to spend time with people you like while providing reliable gear progression and respecting your time.

Our group:

DPS

  • Alkupwn (mage)
  • Brazier (warlock)
  • Kamykazi (priest)
  • Ringurcorpse (death knight)
  • Skullpounder (paladin)
  • Zlyone (hunter)
  • Torindill (hunter) - alternate (clearing runs)

Healers

  • Afundude (shaman)
  • Epicform (druid)
  • mntainoyster (druid) - alternate (clearing runs)

Tanks

  • Silentkìlla (paladin) - primary
  • Whraine (warrior) - secondary
  • Methinicus (paladin) - alternate
  • Afundruid (druid) - alternate (clearing runs)

Priority for raid runs will go to people who adhere to the following rues and guidelines consistently along with those tho participate regularly.

The "fun" tenants (AKA rules):

1) Grouping with people you like, understand, and work well with is fun.

As soon as a clear core group is raidiing regularly, we will expand the ICC 10 raid to smaller runs as well that are beneficial to everyone like weekly raids and VoA 10 (which should each take no longer than an hour each if we follow a few simple ground rules).

This group is intended for people who are 14 or older, we are not prudish, but we are also respectful to each other. Edginess is fine, but excessive profanity, strong sexual references, or anything that promotes drug use are not tolerated.

Assume everyone in the group is doing their best. You are welcome to provide direct, tactful feedback to fellow raid members via whisper, but critical feedback in raid chat or on vent is not acceptable.

The raid ends at the scheduled end time unless there is something that we can accomplish with a slight overrun and the group unanimously agrees to go long. A wipe less than 15 minutes before the raid end time will generally result in ending the raid early.

This is cooperation, not competition – the goal is for the group to be successful and to support other group members in their progress. Damage, DPS, and healing statistical competition are strongly discouraged, and recount add-on messages (or anything similar) will not be posted in raid chat. They should be sent via whisper only if someone else would like to have that information. Additionally, abilities will be used on characters who make the best use of the ability for the raid group (i.e. focus magic, hysteria, etc.).

2) Sitting around waiting to play is not fun.

Raid runs start on time.

Please plan on logging in as your raid character at least fifteen minutes prior to the start of the run, and be ready to join the raid group and move to the raid location at least five minutes before the start of the run.

Even if you are signed up, we will begin PUGging for your slot ten minutes prior to the raid start time to maximize the chance that we start on time. Your slot will remain yours until a replacement is found – then the slot is theirs.

If you are caught up in something or know that you will just be able to log in a couple of minutes prior, please contact the raid lead at least 30 minutes before the raid to let them know what's going on.

For raid runs of two to three hours, there will be a five minute break in the middle of the run for bio, food, etc.

3) Getting tangible, useful rewards for your raiding time is fun.

We will always have master looter enabled for epic items – almost all other items will be rolled for.

We have a group loot list where you can specify what your most coveted drop is from the raid instance (currently ICC 10). First priority will go to everyone who has listed the item as their first priority in their loot list. Second priority will be a general roll, keeping in mind that priority goes to people who have not won a loot drop yet during that run for that instance.

For all rolls, priority will go to main spec (MS) first, followed by off spec (OS), and then priority generally goes to other raid members who have not won an item. In order to roll for MS, the attributes on the item must be aligned to your primary attribute (i.e. for agility versus strength - priority goes to classes that derive attack power from the stat on the item). Where there is any ambiguity, the raid lead has the final say on who can roll for MS and OS.

In order to promote fair distribution of loot, the raid lead may also choose to exclude someone from a roll where they have been particularly successful in their last few raid runs or vice-versa (give priority to someone who has not been receiving loot from the past couple of raid runs).

4) Unpaid babysitting is not fun.

Please bring everything you need for a raid with you to the raid. We will make reasonable attempts to bring support supplies but should not be obligated to do so.

No one in the raid is responsible for bringing general raid supplies (i.e. flasks, gems, enchantments, repair bots, etc).
Everyone needs to begin a raid run with at least one flask per hour (or per two hours if you are an alchemist) of scheduled raid time and 10 prepared food buff items that are suitable to your class and role for the raid run.

The cost of your raid-associated materials and repairs is yours.
